Stress, Telomeres, Longevity and Caregiving

I’m actually not finished watching this lecture but I found it very interesting as it relates to longevity and stress as the professor is also speaking of the caregiver and even how childhood traumas can affect telomeres and longevity. I may update after I finish watching.

Several studies cited. Many of them reinforcing what many of us have tried to practice. The Moskiwitz study names behaviors that increase positive affect:

1 – Notice positive events

2- Capitalize on positive events

3- Gratitude


5-Positive Reappraisal

6- Focus on personal strengths

7- Make and pursue obtainable goals

8 Acts of Kindness
